Hannah F. Griffiths, 70, of Cook Road in Cornish, died Thursday morning, December 5, 2013, at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont. She was born in Cornish, NH on October 24, 1943 the daughter of Robert E. and Ruth J. (Hatch) Earle, Sr. Hannah graduated from Windsor High School in the Class of 1961. She had worked as an executive secretary for the Student Conservation Association of Charlestown and had worked at VA Medical Center in White River JCT doing secretarial work and as a retail clerk at Traditional Gifts in Claremont. Hannah was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge and was the Past Senior Regent and College of Regent. Hannah enjoyed gardening, camping, crafts, dogs and feeding the birds. She married Everett R. Griffiths on October 27, 1965 and he passed away on November 13, 2010. The family includes three sons, Gary E. Griffiths and his wife, Joyce of Newport, and their children, Charlotte Griffiths and Robert Griffiths, Walter J. Griffiths of Cornish and his children, Shiyanne Sola-Griffiths and Sally Griffiths and Austin F. Griffiths and his wife, Deborah of the US Air Force in Benson, AZ and their children, Marissa Griffiths, Krystal Griffiths and Jennifer Griffiths; two brothers, Albert E. Earle of Cornish and Alvin P. Earle and his wife, Sue of Oregon also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Robert E. Earle; two sisters, Maude A. Stanley and Helen L. Delmar. Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont on Tuesday, December 10th from 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 11th at Eleven O’clock in the morning with Rev. Dale Louise Nichols, Pastor of the United Church of Cornish, officiating. Interment will follow in Comings Cemetery in Cornish. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756. |
