Irene Adams, 100, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, NH.

She was born in Claremont, NH on September 27, 1912 the daughter of Joseph and Jane (Bell) Foisy.

Irene married Alton M. Adams, Sr. on August 14, 1933 and he died on June 28, 1971.

She is survived by four sons, Alton M. Adams, Jr.  and his wife, Sandy of Daytona Beach, FL, Francis L. Adams and his wife, Mary Jane of Claremont, Dennis E. Adams and his wife, Arlene of Claremont and Robert B. Adams and his wife, Eileen of Daytona Beach, FL; one daughter, Jane E. Adams Henry of West Lebanon; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great granddaughters also several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on January 9, 2012 from 6-8PM at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00AM in the St. Mary’s Church in Claremont with Rev. Father Shawn Therrien, officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
