Jerome J. Slutzky, 90, of Wetherby Road in Charlestown, NH died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 18, 1922, the son of Isidore and Beckie (Gottesfeld) Slutzky. Jerry attended the Quoddy Aviation School in Eastport, ME and became a B29 flight engineer and navigator in WWII while in the Air Force. He founded Custom Machine Design Corp. and retired in 1981, at which time he moved to Charlestown, NH. He married Linda Frances Bradley on September 8, 1945. The family includes two daughters, Linda Weiss and her partner, Stevan Roseman, and Robin Richstone and her husband, Douglas; one son, James Slutzky; five grandchildren: Nicholas Shectman and his wife, Rachel Mello, Sarah Shectman and her partner, Chad Robinson, Evan Courtney and his wife, Melodie, Liz Weiss, and Cynthia Weiss and husband, Siva Anantham; four great grandchildren: Lorna Courtney, Catherine Courtney, Asher Anantham and Alana Anantham. He was preceded in death by his wife on February 5, 2007; his daughter, Lorna Slutzky Courtney, in 1997 and eight brothers and sisters. Friends and family may call at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, Main Street in Charlestown on Saturday, June 22nd from 1 to 2PM. Funeral services will be held at 2PM. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery, Charlestown, NH. |
