John Miklaszewicz, 89 of River Road, Charlestown, NH died peacefully, May 4, 2013 at Elm Wood Center in Claremont, NH. John was born on April 4, 1924 in Milwaukee, WI, the only child of Joseph and Veronica. He married Bertha and they had one daughter, Carolyn. They lived in Raynham, MA for 60 years. John was self-employed for many years with an egg and meat route in Dorchester and Boston, MA. He then worked and retired from Reed & Barton in Taunton, MA. In 1995 John married Pat Fletcher on June 1st and lived in Raynham, MA until they moved to Charlestown, NH in 2002. John was predeceased by his parents and his first wife Bertha. He is survived by his wife, Pat; two daughters, Carolyn Christensen and her husband, Andy and Cindy Davis and her husband, Mike; grandson, Anders Christensen; two granddaughters, Christine Bearse and her husband, John and Shawna Dellaripa and her, fiancé Doug Loubier; three great grandchildren, Jack and Jefrey Bearse and Natalie Loubier and Wookie his beloved dog. John had a great love of music and enjoyed playing the accordion, organ and guitar even though he never learned to read music. He also loved to cheer on his favorite sports teams the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. John loved New Hampshire especially Charlestown and was so happy to have built the log cabin that he always wanted. He loved the warm weather and being able to garden and just to be outdoors. We are most grateful to the staff of Elm Wood for their wonderful care and compassion. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 in Pine Crest Cemetery at One O’clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Susan Grant Rosen, officiating. Arrangements are with the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street, Charlestown, NH. |
