Joyce Vivian Benware, 82, of Emily Place in Claremont, NH passed away on March 23, 2013 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

She was born in Newport, NH on May 8, 1930 the daughter of Howard and Violet (Townsend) Murgatroy.

Joyce loved her crossword and word search puzzles, bingo and going for rides. She loved everyone.

Her family includes her husband of 62 years, Wilfred L. Benware of Claremont; her sons, Allan P. Benware and his wife, Susan of Davenport, FL, Wilfred J. Benware and his wife, Terry of Brighton, IL, Daniel J. Benware and his wife, Anna of Claremont, Douglas R. Benware and Ernest B. Benware both of Lehigh Acres, FL and Brian E. Benware and his wife, Mary of Claremont; her daughter, Vivian L. Melcher and her husband, Richard of Newport; her sister, June King of Idaho; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by a son, George E. Benware in 1988.

Friends and family may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Thursday evening, March 28^th from 6 to 8PM.

Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11AM with Father Shawn Therrien, officiating.

Burial will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery.
