Lawrence Howard West, 75, formerly of Hillside Terrace, died Tuesday evening May 14, 2013 at Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, NH.

He was born in Newport, NH on July 28, 1937 the son of Howard and Geraldine (Winslow) West and had resided in Claremont since 1976.

Lawrence had worked on the farm since he was a youngster and later was employed at Davis & Symonds Lumber Company, stacking lumber and for a short time had worked for Customized Structures, Inc.

He was the widower of Martha Olive (Tucker) West whom he married on October 29, 1988 and she died on February 14, 2004.

The family includes three step-children, Barbara McIntire of Claremont, Pauline Blair of Pasadena, CA, Donna and Larry Mitchel of Littleton; two brothers, Robert West of Plainfield and Elwin West of Manchester; one sister, Beverly King of Kellyville; nephew, Douglas King of Unity, along with several other nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was predeceased by one brother, Conrad West; two sisters, Veronica Ordway and Wanita King.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 20^th at 11 AM in Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport, NH.
