Margaret Olive Picard, 84, of Centennial Street, Claremont, NH, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at her home.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Claremont, NH, born on Feb. 10, 1929 the daughter of Alfred J. and Beatrice (Martin) Thibault.

Margaret graduated from St Mary’s High School in the Class of 1946.

She worked as a lead payroll clerk for 25 years, at Joy Manufacturing Co. until it closed in 1992.

Margaret was a communicant of St Joseph Church, a member of Court Virgil H. Barber #892 Catholic Daughters of the Americas, the A.A.R.P., the Senior Congress Park and the Senior Center.

She was the widow of Robert E. Picard, whom she married on July 3, 1948 and he died March 9, 2008.

The surviving family includes two daughters, Kathleen Dickson of Clermont, FL  and Ann Milan of Claremont, NH; one granddaughter, Jennifer Mayen; three grandsons, Gregory Boisvert, James Milan and Andrew Milan; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Thibault of Hudson; two sisters, Pauline Manahan of Newport and Mary Oliver and nieces,  nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Ann’s husband, Stephen N. Milan in 2006.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Saturday, November 9th at one o’clock in the afternoon.

Visiting hours will be held from 12PM to 1PM prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.

A reception will follow at the Time Out Sports Bar on Mulberry Street in Claremont.
