Mary Frances Collins, 97, of Claremont, NH passed away on January 18, 2013 at the Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, NH.

She was born in Bellows Falls, VT on December 27, 1915 the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Switak) Hitrusko.

She had resided in Claremont since 1945.

She worked for a year in the 30’s at Super Set, a paint brush company in Bellows Falls and later years as a stitcher in the Shoe Shops in Claremont and Newport.

Mary was the widow of James V. Collins whom she married on June 8, 1942 and he died May 3, 1987.

The surviving family includes a niece, Marie King Darnell of Wakefield, MA; a nephew, Joseph Cancellieri of West Newton, MA; a cousin, Blanche Mitchell of Bellows Falls, VT and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bernard Hitrusko in 1979; two sisters, Stephena “Tina” Fontaine in 1993 and Blanche Cancellieri in 2001.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Joseph Church on Saturday morning, Januaray 26^th at 11AM with Rev. Father George Majka, officiating.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Bellows Falls, VT.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the Funeral Mass.
