Nicholas Ernest Joseph Howard, 23, of Claremont, NH passed away at his home Saturday, October 19, 2013.

He was born on November 14, 1989 in Hanover, NH to Daniel Howard and Michelle Duplessis-Howard of Claremont.

He spent his first 10 years attending the elementary school system of West Lebanon, NH before moving with his new baby brother Loren, his Mom and his Dad to Pearl Street in Claremont in the year 2000.

In Claremont Nick Attended Bluff School, the Middle School and graduated Stevens High School in 2008.

In 2006 Nick became the proud Father of Lydia Grace Howard with his High School love Shaleah Hoisington.  He was a capable loving Father and loved to play and spend time with her. He was the most fun, silly Dad ever and loved to play and write songs on his guitar for Lydia, including the “Stomp Around Song” and “Rock & Roll Baby Go Poopy on the Potty”.

Nick is best known as one of Claremont’s most dedicated Rock and Roll singer song writers producing two music CDs with his band “Dudestew” in 2012.  The first CD featured 18 songs he wrote and was entitled “Wilshire Coid”.  The second CD had 22 completely unique rock and roll classics he composed and was entitled “Wednesday”.

Nick was predeceased by his grandparents on his Mother’s side George and Joan Duplessis.  His surviving grandparents are Loren and Yvonne Howard of North Sutton, NH and Ruth P. Howard of Marinez, CA.  Surviving relatives include many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in the Claremont area

Music was Nick’s forte and his driving force.  He was known to all as a true creative genius, an intelligent funny goofball and a friendly kind helpful gentleman.

Aside from his daughter Lydia and her Mom his two most beloved were Loren Howard his 14 year old brother and his wicked love Jessica Dyer.  His heart was truly devoted to them.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 1:00 PM at the First Congregational Church on Pleasant Street in uptown Claremont.

A reception will follow at the Polish American Club on 142 Main Street in Claremont.

A rock and roll benefit gathering is also planned for Sunday, October 27th at the Claremont Moose Lodge.
