Nina Theresa Marino, 92, formerly of Alstead, NH died on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Genesis of Keene.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 22, 1920 the daughter of Benedetto and Josephine (Providenti) Sottile.

Nina had resided in Alstead since 1995 and previously in Brooklyn, NY for 29 years. She was a member of the Mary Queen of Heaven Church “Columbiett” in Brooklyn and St. Bernards Church.

She had worked as a dental assistant from 1967 to 1971 and from 1972 to 1989 she worked for Barnes & Noble Bookstore as a cashier in Brooklyn and retired in 1989.

Nina married her husband, Thomas Marino on September 1, 1945 and he died on March 7, 1983.

Her family includes two daughters, Catherine R. Cullen and Josephine Ann Marino both of Alstead; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street in Charlestown on Tuesday morning April 30th from 9 to 9:30 prior to the Mass.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Catherine’s Church on Tuesday, April 30th at 10 AM with Father Steven Lepine officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Walpole, NH.
