Thomas Walter Sampson, 88, of Claremont, NH died on Friday, December 13, 2013 in Ludlow, VT at his daughter’s home after a long and courageous battle with dementia and renal failure.

He was born in New York City, NY on December 12, 1925 the son of William and Mildred (Wolf) Sampson.

Tom had resided in Claremont since 1966. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy, receiving two medals of honors. He retired in 1992 from Holson Burns where he worked as a machine operator for 11 years.

The family includes his daughter, Darlene Phillips and husband, Ralph Phillips of Ludlow, VT; his grandchildren, Kayla and Garth and several nieces and nephews, including his nephew, Roy Munstermann and wife, Laura of Ascutney VT.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 1:00PM in Mountain View Cemetery in Claremont, NH.
