William E. Muzeroll died October 3, 2013, at the Elm Wood Center following a period of failing health. He had recently celebrated his 94th birthday. He was born in Claremont, NH, on September 22, 1919, the only child of Edward and Rosa (La Fontaine) Muzerall. He attended St. Mary Grammar and St. Mary High School, graduating in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army for three years during World War II, including spending time in the Pacific and Japan. He married Jeannette St. Hilaire on February 2, 1944; they shared 63 years of married life. He was employed by Joy Manufacturing for more than 42 years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed many activities, including gardening, woodcarving and building things, spending time at the family camp he built at Crescent Lake, Acworth, NH, and could make and repair just about anything. He was a hard worker and made many sacrifices for his family. He was a Cub Scout Leader, Pack 38, and he also served on the Board Of Directors for the Claremont Translator Television Association. He was a member of the American Legion Post 29, Claremont. He was a communicant of St. Mary Parish and the last surviving member of the St. Mary Class of 1937. He was predeceased by his wife who died in 2007; his son, Martin, who died in 2006; and his daughter, Frances Pomeroy, who died in 2005, and his beloved cat, Kit, who died in 2012. He is survived by his other daughter, Phyllis A. Muzeroll, Claremont, NH; his granddaughter, Laurie DesRochers, Manchester, NH; grandson, Dustin Muzeroll, Merrimack, NH; great grandson, Jordan Muzeroll; and Paula Muzeroll-Smith. There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 8th at Eleven O’clock in St. Mary Church with Rev. Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. |
