William Samiec, 96, of West Terrace Street in Claremont, NH died on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Sullivan County Health Care in Unity.

He was born in Claremont on February 17, 1917 the son of Michael and Eva (Szagdaj) Samiec.

William graduate from Stevens High School in the Class of 1935 and was a graduate of UNH in the Class of 1939.He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Army. He worked as an accountant in the Boston area.

William was a communicant of St Joseph Church. He enjoyed gardening and especially trips to the coast of Maine.

The family includes his sisters, Frances T Samiec and Mary A. Samiec both of Claremont.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nellie Samiec.

Burial was held in St Mary Cemetery.
