Cecile Dubois, of the Bourdon Center Claremont, NH died at the age of 92 at Elmwood Nursing Home after a long illness. Cecile was born in Trois Riviere, Quebec Canada on July 6th 1921. She was born to Arsene and Delia Grenier and moved to the United States at a young age. She married Roger Dubois on Dec. 30, 1939. She worked in Claremont area shoe shops while her husband was serving in the Navy during WWII. After the war she and her husband ran a number of local businesses. She served as book keeper for Dubois Auto Service for many years. She also owned an antique shop on the Newport Road. Her favorite past times were attending flea markets throughout the states of Vermont and New Hampshire. She was still setting up her booth at the age of 91. She will be missed by many. She was predeceased by her husband Roger and several brothers and sisters including Armante Jarvis, Simone Lytel, Gerard, Roger, Andre, William and Cyril Grenier. She is survived by a brother, Edward Grenier, and a loving family including her daughter Janet and her husband Don Pederson Unity, NH, two grandsons Sean and his wife Susan of Belleville, Illinois along with their daughters Kathleen and Olivia. A grandson Christopher and his wife Lauren of Bedford and their daughters Courtney and Audrey and great grandson Colby. She is also survived by several neices and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 20th at 11AM in St. Mary Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Claremont Senior Center. |
