Etta Bernice Courtemanche, 85, of Heritage Drive in Claremont, NH died on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Sullivan County Health Care in Unity. She was born in Houlton, ME on Aug. 27, 1928 the daughter of John and Mary (Fortier) Vincent. She resided in Claremont most of her life with the exception of living in Largo, FL from 1989 to 2003. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School in 1946. She retired in 1989 from the Valley Regional Hospital, and the former Claremont General Hospital where she worked in the Accounting Dept. for 29 ½ years. She had previously worked at Fishman’s Department Store. She was a communicant of St Mary Church and a member and past Regent of Court Virgil H. Barber # 892 Catholic Daughters of the Americas. The surviving family includes her husband, Andre’ E. Courtemanche of Claremont whom she married on Nov. 16, 1946; two sons, William E. Courtemanche of Texas and James Courtemanche of Goffstown, NH; one daughter, Karen Belisle of Claremont; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a grandson, Jason Courtemanche and one sister, Lucy Herron and two infants. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 10th at 11AM in St Mary Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the St Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memorial and Honor Program-F, Memphis, TN 38105-1905. |
