Gary Sterling Crosby, 71, of Claremont, died Tuesday morning, April 29, 2014 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Claremont, NH on February 22, 1943, the son of the late Ralph V. and Beryle A. (Rowell) Crosby. Gary was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1961 and had attended Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He was a loan officer for Connecticut River Bank and previously worked for Claremont National Bank and numerous banks in NH and MA. Gary played softball in high school and had also played in the Claremont baseball men’s league. He was an enormous sports fan who enjoyed all sports and all the different teams, he truly should have been a sports announcer. The family includes his companion of 31 years, Cindy Paulhus of Claremont; mother-in-law, Shirley Paulhus of Charlestown; brother-in-law, Thomas Borrows of Florida; two nephews, Garett Borrows and Thomas Borrows and his extended family, Ann Preus, Brenda Jewell, Cheryl Cannon, Normand Paulhus, Lisa Lovell, Larry Paulhus, Valerie Keller, Albert Paulhus and families. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carole Borrows who died August 23, 2006. Funeral services will be held at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Monday, May 5th at eleven o’clock in the morning with Rev. David Crosby, officiating. Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 10-11AM Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Claremont. A reception will be held at the Claremont Senior Center, 5 Acer Heights, Claremont. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made in his memory to River Valley Animal Protection League, PO Box 860, Charlestown, NH 03603. |
