John M. St. Pierre, Jr., 44, passed away suddenly on December 3, 2014. He was a life-long resident of Claremont, and is the son of John M. St. Pierre, Sr. and Ellen (Cornish) St. Pierre. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Amy (Thompson), and his pride and joy, Jack Thomas, his son. He is survived by his sister, Jennifer (St. Pierre) and her husband, Michael K. Lessard; brother, Wayne A. St. Pierre of Fort Worth, TX; his nephew, Brandon M. Tillman; his niece, Victoria A. Tillman; his in-laws, Dan and Kathy Thompson; and sister-in-law, Ann M. Thompson. John’s green thumb produced not only a beautiful and bountiful garden annually, but his Evertree Christmas Tree Farm brought joy and tradition to many families, who loved to visit each Christmas season to select and cut their tree. John loved maple sugaring; he made a savory and coveted homemade ketchup; and the most delectable canned beets that ever graced your lips. John was an avid fisherman; he loved to hunt; and panned for gold with friends. In addition to being an avid outdoorsman, he had a lifetime love of the sport of baseball and was an enormous fan of the Boston Red Sox. The radio was always on when his favorite team was playing. He was a self-employed craftsman, who loved to put custom touches on everything he made and on all of the homes that he renovated. John and Amy realized their dream to own and operate a camp ground this past spring, when they purchased the Crescent Camp Ground in Canaan N.H. Their first season was such a joy and they loved all the families and friendships that were forged this past summer. Amy and Jack look forward to continuing this dream. Above all, John always made time for his spectacular son, Jack. They were best friends and made each other laugh constantly. John supported his son as a coach; he chaperoned various school activities; and together they assembled every Lego kit imaginable. John could fix anything and he took great joy in restoring his father-in-laws train set from the 1950s for Jack to play with. John will be sadly missed by all who knew him, for John never turned down a request for help and he would drop everything to help someone in need. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated next Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Central St., Claremont N.H. with Pastor Father Shawn Therrien, officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to charities that support families and children. |
