Joseph Kelly Sylvester, 37, of Claremont, died on January 9, 2014 in Windsor, VT. He was born in Hanover, NH on August 11, 1976, the son of Everett Swett of White River JCT, VT and Pauline “Polly” (Irish) and Joseph Sylvester of Springfield, VT. Joseph was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1995. He had worked at Olympia Sports, Home Depot, Whelen and was currently working at Subway. Joseph was very well known for being a great father, husband, uncle, brother, son and friend. He was an avid Red Sox, 49ers and Michael Jordan Fan. Joseph was a joker and enjoyed cigars, coors light, poker and going out and being social. The family includes his wife, Heidi (Beaudry) Sylvester of Claremont; three children, Jared, Cooper and Charlotte all of Claremont; two brothers, Jimmy Irish of Syracuse, NY and Dominic Swett of Enfield; one sister, Michele Swett of Canaan and one sister-in-law, Jessie Beaudry of Claremont. He was predeceased by one sister, Tracy Irish. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont on Friday, January 17th from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18th at Eleven O’clock in the morning in St. Joseph Church with Rev. Father George Majka, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Claremont. A reception will be held in St. Joseph Church Parish Hall.
