Leo Paul Therriault, 72 of Claremont, NH died on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Sullivan County Health Care in Unity. He was born in Claremont, NH on December 13, 1941 the son of Adelard L. and Leonie (Lafreniere) Therriault. He was a graduate of St. Marys High School in 1960 and Saint Anselm College in 1964. He was a longtime resident of Cornish. Paul was the purchasing manager for American Brush and retired in 1992. He had previously worked at Joy Manufacturing from 1964 to 1986. Paul was very involved in the Cornish Boy Scouts and had belonged to Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus and was a parole officer for Claremont and Cornish. He was an avid outdoors man, enjoying camping, skiing and fishing. He was very involved in the St Mary’s Community. The family includes his wife, Carol (LaFlower) Therriault whom he married on May 23, 1964; a daughter, Michele Mardanes of Cornish; two sons, James Therriault and his wife, Shari of White River Junction, VT and TJ Therriault and his wife, Jill of Connecticut; four grandchildren, Nicole, Hailley, Alexis and Charlie; a great grandson, Logan; two sisters, Sister Denise Therriault and Sister Monique Therriault; a sister-in-law, Helene Therriault also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Therriault. We have lost the heart of our family, our kind hearted and loving mentor. He will be sorely missed. Friends and family may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Saturday, March 8th from 10 to 12PM. A memorial service will be held at the Funeral Home at 12PM with Sister Monique officiating. A reception will follow at the Cornish Town Hall.
