Loretta Lucas was born on December 2, 1975 in New Jersey.  At 18 she moved to Claremont and became a ward of the State with DSSC, now called Pathway’s.  She passed away in her sleep on January 28, 2014 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

Loretta touched many lived in her 38 years of life including her grandmother and grandfather, Virginia and Charles King, now deceased, and her aunt and guardian, Joyce Davidson who watched out for her.

Loretta attended the Austine School for the Deaf and received a certificate from Fall Mountain Regional High School.  She worked part time for Howard Johnson’s in Springfield, VT and volunteered at Springfield, VT animal shelter.  She also worked at senior centers’ mealtime programs and lastly at the Trinity Church in Claremont.

There will be a graveside service in the spring at Forest Hill Cemetery in Charlestown, NH.
