Margaret N. Kelly, Age 87, died Saturday evening, November 15, 2014, at Sullivan County Health Care, Unity, NH. Margaret resided in the McConnell Unit, where she received loving care for the past two years from a dedicated and devoted staff. She was born on February 16, 1927, in Lebanon, NH., where she resided most of her life. She was the last living child born to John C. Goodell & Julia O. (Stevens) Goodell. Margaret was the last in her family of 14 siblings who predeceased her: Lottie, Alfred , Arnold , Ralph, Ruth, Agnes, Dorothy, Alice, Violet, Rachel, John, Roland, June, and Joe. She graduated from Lebanon High School Class of 1946. She was married to Raymond J. Kelly for 46 years before his death in 1993. They raised their family and lived on Spring St. for more than 50 years. Margaret was the office manager of the Hanover Water Company for nearly 20 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of American Legion Post 22 auxiliary for many years. She was an honored member of 50 years in the Lebanon United Methodist Church. Her passions in life were her work with the Hanover Water Company, feeding the crows, shopping at P & C, and her greatest passion of all- her super human power for finding and collecting 4 leaf clovers! Her Bible overflows with hundreds of them! She is survived by her three children, Eileen Bateman (Jack) of Canaan, Joan Hobstetter (Gary) of Palo Alto, Ca., and Michael Kelly of Lebanon. She leaves seven grandchildren: Traci, Christie, Tom, Maggie, Kelly, Lauren, and Jeremy and four great grandchildren: Dylan, Piper, Jace and Emerson, and many nieces and nephews, with special mention of Bette. There will be no calling hours or funeral services. |
