Maria Theresa Weeden, was taken into God’s hands, April 24, 2014, after a long period of declining health.

She was born to Martin and Maria T. Hermans in Immendorf, Germany.

Maria was a member of St. Mary’s parish in Claremont and devoted Catholic.  Maria dearly loved her family and spent much of her time being with them.  She enjoyed gardening and any cause that protects animals.

She is survived by her beloved husband John; her sons, Leonard Gersberg of Claremont, Mark Gersberg of Claremont, Andy and his wife, Amy Gersberg of Claremont, Martin Gersberg and his partner, Debbie Gonyea of Claremont and John Weeden Jr. of Claremont.  Also three grandchildren, Mark Crandall and his wife, Megan, Shannon and her husband, Josh Mason and Ian Gersberg, family in Germany and her best friends Carol and Marianne.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 5-7 PM at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26^th at 10AM in St. Mary Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
