Martha S. Morse, 89, of Unity, NH died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a brief illness.

She was born in Bath, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1925, the daughter of Willard P. and Bessie Louise (Lewis) Smith.

She had attended Marietta College.

Martha was a lifelong artist and had worked as an office clerk, librarian and library trustee. She and her husband ran a convenience store, Morse Beverage for about 4 ½ years and became a coppersmith in the 80’s until she retired in the 90’s.

She was well known in the community and loved by all her family and friends.

She married Donald Morse on November 11, 1949 and he passed away on May 31, 2012.

The family includes her three children, John and his wife, Karen, Stephen and his wife, Kathy and Mary Jo Lord and her husband, Ernie; 8 grandchildren, Jason Morse and his fiancé, Nina Schultz, Matthew and Sarah Morse, Sarah Owen and her husband, Mike, Nick Helie, Eric Lord and his wife, Jackie, Andy Lord, Lisa Swierczynski and her husband, Peter; 10 great grandchildren and a new great grandson expected December 31st.

Per Martha’s request there will be no services at this time. A celebration of her life will be held in the future.
