Stephen Edward Belletsky, Jr., 88 of West Unity, NH died on Monday, October 6, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on September 11, 1926 the son of Stephen and Sophie (Jchik) Belletsky, Sr. Stephen attended schools in Fairfield, CT. He had served in the United States Navy as a gunners mate from August of 1944 to July of 1946. Stephen was a self-taught welder and ran his own business until his semi-retirement in 1979. He married Janet (Drew) Belletsky on November 29, 1947 and she died in December of 2000. They raised their six children in the home they built in Westport, CT. In 1979 they moved to West Unity to a home the family built together. Stephen had worked for the Eagle Times as a route driver for 7 years. The family includes his six children, Stephen E. Belletsky, III and his wife, Tammy of West Unity, Joan M. Silver and her husband, John of Claremont, David M. Belletsky and his wife, Deborah of Fairfield, CT, Nancy Muskelly and her husband, Vernan of Springfield, VT, Michele LeBlanc and her husband, Steven of Newport and Maryellen Corliss and her husband, Craig of Lyme; grandchildren, Kimberly Sapp, Jenna Ouellette, Nicole Levingston, Stephanie Sapp, Stephen E. Belletsky IV, David Belletsky, Daniel Belletsky, Jeremy Corliss, Daylynn Corliss and Nya Corliss; great grandchildren, Christian Sanchez, Jilli Ouellette and Anastasia Levingston; two brothers, Charles Belletsky and his wife, Eva of Florida and William Belletsky and his wife, Marie of CT. Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH on Thursday, October 9th from 6-8:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 8 PM. Burial will be held at the Center Cemetery in Unity on Friday at 10 AM with military honors.
