Theresa I. Dole, 85, of Cornish, NH, died on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

She was born in Claremont, NH on June 16, 1929 the daughter of Joseph Fabien and Germaine Anna (Lacasse) Potvin.

Theresa was a graduate of St. Mary High School in the class of 1947.

She retired in 1989 from Claremont School District, where she was the office manager of special services for 13 years.

Theresa had previously worked for Keating Insurance from 1950-1956, Joy Manufacturing Company from 1956-1967 and was the co-owner of the Del-E-Motel from 1967-1971.

She was a past member of the Business and Professional Women and Ladies of St. Anne’s Society.

She enjoyed bowling, golfing, dancing and traveling.

Theresa was widowed by her first husband Gordon R. Rawn who died on October 19, 1976 and she married William A. Dole on July 8, 1978 and he died on July 28, 2007.

The family includes one step-daughter, Susan J. Carter and her husband, John of Belmont; one sister-in-law Lorraine Potvin of Claremont; one brother-in-law, Tim Dole and his wife, Dottie of Claremont; eight step-grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also several nieces, one nephew & cousins.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Paul N. Potvin, Raoul J. Potvin and Victor Potvin and three step-sons, Christopher Dole, Peter A. Dole and Jeffrey W. Dole.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 4PM – 6 PM at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in St. Mary Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, officiating.

Interment will follow in West Claremont Burying Grounds in Claremont.
