Thomas Addison Stockton, Jr., 55, of Claremont, died Wednesday evening, April 9, 2014 at his home, after his two year battle with colon cancer.

He was born in Quincy, MA on December 27, 1958, the son of the late Thomas Addison Stockton, Sr. and Mary Anne (Moss) Stockton.

Tom was a contractor who installed siding.

He was an outdoors enthusiast, who loved riding his motorcycle, hiking and having cookouts with his family and friends.

Tom loved his dogs, feeding the birds and had epic battles with the squirrels.

He had spent many years coaching girls and boys basketball and soccer at St. Mary School and the Claremont Recreation Department, he also participated in the annual March of Dimes walks.

Tom enjoyed family time especially watching old Sinbad movies when the kids were little and was a very good sport about the annual family Christmas hike up Mount Ascutney.

The family includes his wife, Deborah Ann (Easton) Stockton whom he married on March 12, 1983; two daughters, Melissa Stockton of Stoddard, NH and Katherine Stockton and her husband, James Bishop of Wakefield, MA; one son, Robert Stockton of Claremont and one granddaughter, Sophia Stockton; two sisters, Laurel Garvey and Bonnie Synicky both of Anaheim, CA.

There will be a celebration of life that will be announced at a later date.
