Allie Clarence Hodgdon, 89, formerly of Cornish died on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, NH.

 He was born in Greensboro, VT on October 8, 1925, the oldest of eight children to Porter G. and Reba M. (Lumbra) Hodgdon.

Allie was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Marine Corps.

He had worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber.

He married Norma L. Burr on July 1, 1952 and she died on June 7, 2014.

The family includes one daughter, Jacalyn Thayer and her husband, Douglas of Cornish; one son, Dale Hodgdon and his companion, Wendy Thomas of Newport; two grandchildren, Megan Martin and Matthew Thayer; one great grandson, Maximus Martin; one brother, Porter Hodgdon of Swanton, VT and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and several brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held in Childs Cemetery in Cornish in the spring.
