Arthur Robert Dion,
79, of Acworth, died on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Valley Regional
Hospital in Claremont.
He was born on
September 19, 1935 in Claremont, NH the son of Arthur H. and Gertrude H.
(Goyette) Dion.
Arthur was a veteran
of the United States Army.
He had worked as a
facilities coordinator for Holson Burnes Company from 1982 to 2003, had
previously worked for Joy Manufacturing Company and Brock & Rogan.
Arthur was a member
of the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree and
the Moose Lodge #1201.
He was also a member
of the Crescent Lake Association, a past president and one of the
founding members of the Crescent Lake Snow Riders.
The family includes
his wife, Lorraine G. (Bernier) Dion whom he married on September 14,
1957; one son, Alan A. Dion; one daughter, Diane Bildstein and her
husband, Warren; six grandchildren, Sarah, Abbey and Jake Bildstein,
Zachary, Brody and Taylor Dion; his brother Thomas Dion of Keene NH, his
sister Marie (Dion) Zerba of W. Hartford CT and several nieces, nephews
and cousins.
He was predeceased by
one daughter, Wanda Jean Dion in 1966.
There will be no
visiting hours.
A Mass of Christian
Burial will be held at St. Mary Church in Claremont on Saturday,
February 21st at 11 AM with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien,
Officiating.
A luncheon will
follow at the Claremont Senior Center.
Interment will be
held in the spring in St. Mary Cemetery.
