Carlyn "Lyn" Taylor, 66, of North Street in Claremont, died March 11, 2015 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Keene, NH Oct 26, 1948 to Carl W. and Marjorie J. Taylor, she attended schools in Keene, Troy and Swanzey, graduating from MRHS in 1966. Possessing considerable artistic talent she studied art at the Worcester Art Museum and at Keene State College.

Lyn held a variety of jobs in her lifetime in the social services field and also for the Rosicrucian’s as an illustrator.

An avid reader, her interests ran from religion, philosophy, ancient civilizations and culture, spirituality and art. 

Lyn was a wonderful woman, genius artist, kind, caring, compassionate and always optimistic who loved her twin boys with all her heart. 

She is survived by her two grandsons Nick Taylor and Craig Taylor of Claremont, her brother Edward and his wife Rhonda Taylor, and her mother Marjorie Taylor of Winchester, NH.

Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Friday afternoon March 20th from 1 to 3 PM.

A funeral service will follow at 3 PM.
