Doris Hipwell, 87, of Mann Court in Claremont, NH passed away, Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Sullivan County Health Care in Unity.

She was born in Fall River, MA on May 14, 1927 the daughter of William and Lydia (Richards) Dufresne and had resided in Claremont most of her life.

She was a 1944 graduate of St. Mary High School and attended Nurses Training in Manchester at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Doris was a licensed practical nurse and worked in the nursery at Claremont General Hospital for eighteen years and retired in 1981.  She was a member of the Claremont Country Club and was a past president of the Ladies Golf League.

Doris had enjoyed 21 winters in Florida with her husband.

The surviving family includes her husband, Louis Francis Hipwell of Claremont whom she married on February 2, 1946; two sons, David Hipwell of Greenwood, IN and Brian Hipwell of West Lebanon; two grandsons, Stewart Hipwell and Glenn Hipwell; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Eva; two sisters, Bertha LaMarre and Yvette Dion both of Claremont also several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting hours or funeral services.

Interment will be held in the spring in West Claremont Burying Grounds.
