Elizabeth Clara West, 95, of Claremont, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Hartford, VT on October 25, 1919 the daughter of Eli and Ella (White) LaBelle.

Elizabeth had resided in Claremont since 1982 and had previously lived in Kellyville.

She had worked on heels at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Windsor, VT from 1947 to 1955, International Shoe Shop from 1955 to 1959 and had worked in the housekeeping department at New London Hospital for fifteen years and retired in 1974.

Elizabeth was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.

The family includes her husband, Robert L. West of Claremont whom she married on November 11, 1979; two daughters, Diane Frankenberry of Georgia and Sandra Morrow of Coushagta, LA; one son, Joseph F. LaPorte of Forney, TX; one son-in-law, Robert Rivard of Ascutney, VT; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was predeceased by one daughter, Ellie Rivard on June 28, 2014.

Services will be held privately.
