George A. Dube, Sr., 93, formerly of Maple Avenue in Claremont, NH died Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Sullivan County Health Care in Unity.

He was born on June 15, 1921 in Lawrence, MA the son of Hermenegilde and Dorilla (Provencal) Dube.

George was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army.

He retired from Joy Manufacturing where he had worked for 37 years as a machinist and later in assembly.

George married Mildred L. (Copp) Dube on May 23, 1942 and she died on February 21, 2011.

The family includes two sons, George A. Dube, Jr., and his wife, Alice of Fairview, AL and James L. Dube and his wife, Lois of Claremont; four grandsons, Michael J. Dube and his wife, Terri and great-granddaughter, Jordan L. Dube all of Hanover, PA; Gregory J. Dube and his wife, Marsha and great-granddaughter Kasha B. Green and great great-granddaughter Oktober Green all of Baileyton, AL; Matthew W. Dube and his wife, Dana and great-granddaughers, Laura, Anna and Sara Dube and great-grandsons, Nathan and Matthew Dube all of Cullman, AL; Dr. Peter W. Dube and his wife, Amber and great grandsons, Peter A. Dube II, George A. Dube III, Helaman Dube and Gideon Dube all of Cullman, AL; one granddaughter, Amy L. Dube and great granddaughter, Madylin Grace Bly both of Claremont; one sister, Irene A. Poirier of Derry; one sister-in-law, Frances A. Gould of Claremont and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately.
