Mary Evelyn Oliver, 80, formerly of 243 Broad Street in Claremont died Thursday evening, January 29, 2015 at the Pine Rock Manor Assisted Living in Warner, NH.

She was born in Claremont, NH on Aug. 26, 1934 the daughter of Alfred and Beatrice (Martin) Thibault and had resided in Claremont all her life.

She worked as a nurses aid at the Claremont Nursing Home for seven years and for a short time at the Head Start Program.

She married George Herbert Oliver on March 13, 1954 and he died on May 24, 2009.

The family includes three daughters, Liane Westcott and her husband, Brett, Carolyn L. Faucher and her husband, George both of Claremont, and Joyce Eaton and her husband, Rick of Newport; two sons, William Oliver and his wife Donna of Claremont and Jeffrey Oliver and his wife, Wendy of Canaan; one brother, Donald Thibault of Hudson; one sister, Pauline Manahan of Newport; eleven grandchildren; six great-grand-children; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by an infant daughter, Judith Anne Oliver; one granddaughter, Shelli-Ann Westcott; one sister Margaret Picard.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening February 5th at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont from 6-8 PM.

A Memorial Service will follow at 8 PM, with Rev. Father George Majka, Pastor of St Joseph Church, officiating.

Interment will be in the spring in St Mary’s Cemetery.
