Ola May MacIver, 85, of Keene, formerly of
Claremont, died on Friday, March 6, 2015 in the comfort of her home at
Bentley Commons of Keene, after a brief illness. She was born on March 29, 1929, in Seabrook, NH,
to Donald and Marion (Felch) Brown, and was raised by her mom and step
father, Fred Allen of Claremont. She was a Claremont resident for
most of her life, and was a 1947 graduate of Stevens High School. She married Colin Angus MacIver on January 24,
1951 in a ceremony in Claremont. She worked for her family’s store, Fred Allen
Jewelry, for 42 years before her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the NABISCO Club 29. She enjoyed BINGO, different arts and crafts, and
travelling with her husband. She loved her family. Her
daughters, granddaughters and their families and her great grandson
brought much happiness and many smiles and laughter. She had a
great sense of humor and always enjoyed smiling, laughing and being
active. She is survived by her two daughters: Cheryl
A Pinney and her husband Dana of Fitzwilliam and Beth J Pinney and her
husband Allan of Dublin; her four granddaughters: Meredith L Ducommun
and her husband Garret of Mesa, AZ, Molly Ola Pinney and her fiancée Aja
Davis of Brooklyn, NY, Emily J Pinney and her significant other Bradley
Noyes of Cambridge, MA, and Krystal L Smith and her husband Grant of New
London, NH; a great grandson: Gavin Smith as well as several nieces,
nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, of 53
years, Colin A. MacIver, her parents and her step-father. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 8,
2015 from 2:00 until 4:00. Graveside services will be held at a
later date, in the spring, in the family plot in Union Cemetery in
Claremont. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made, in Ola M. MacIver’s name, to the charity of your choice. |
