Raymond Wilfred Bonneville, 83, of Congress Street in Claremont, NH died
peacefully on Sunday evening March 15, 2015 at Valley Regional Hospital
surrounded by his family. He was a native and lifelong resident of
Claremont, NH, born on Nov. 6, 1931 the son of Wilfred and Helen
(Mezykowski) Bonneville. He
was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the US Air Force.
Mr. Bonneville
retired in 1993 from the State of New Hampshire where he worked for the
NH Liquor Commission first at the Claremont Store and later at the
Newport Store for twenty-five years.
He had previously worked at the International Shoe Shop in
Claremont, Joy Manufacturing Co. for a short time, Claremont Woven Label
Co. for ten years and Atrax for about fifteen months.
He also worked at the Voting Polls, as a clerk and supervisor of
the check list.
He was a communicant
of St Mary’s and St. Joseph’s Church, the AARP, the Congress of
Claremont Senior Citizens, the Claremont Senior Center and for over
thirty years, the Circle Eight Square Dance Club.
He was a Road To
Recovery Volunteer for the American Cancer Society and also enjoyed
bowling, traveling and especially bus trips.
He was the widower of
Therese Cecile (Theroux) Bonneville of Claremont whom he married on June
22, 1957 and she died September 27, 2007.
The surviving family
includes a son, David R. Bonneville and his wife, Anne and their
children Jason, Keri and Jamie and several great-grandchildren, a son
John J. Bonneville and his wife, Deb and her children and grandchildren
whom he loved very much; one brother, Richard A. Bonneville and his
wife, Lorraine of Claremont; his special friend, Shirley Ferland and
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in
death his sister, Beverly A. Michaud in 2013.
Friends may call at
the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Wednesday March 18th
from 6 to 8 PM. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Joseph Church
on Thursday morning at 11AM with Rev. Pastor Father George Majka,
officiating.
A luncheon will
follow in the church hall.
Interment will be at
a later date in the spring in St Mary Cemetery.
