Richard Norman Gobin, Jr., 62, died on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH from cancer.

He was born in Newport, NH on October 22, 1952 the son of Richard Norman Gobin, Sr. and Freda May Hurlburt.

Richard graduated from Newport High School in 1970.

As a boy he had lived in Newport and later in life had moved to Claremont.

Richard had worked as a machinist in his early years and had worked at Dorr Woolen Mill until he became ill.

His interests and hobbies were playing cribbage and video games with his brothers. 

He was in bowling leagues, loved playing horseshoes with family and friends and enjoyed cars and all sports.

Richard loved the Lord his entire life and will be waiting for us in Heaven.

The family includes his mother, Freda May Hurlburt, three sisters, Bonnie Mead, Linda Currier and April Jordan; two brothers, Chris Gobin and Wes Cutts; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Friday, January 23rd at 11 AM, with Rev. David Crosby, Pastor of the Grace River Church, officiating.

Visiting hours will be held from 10-11AM prior to the service.

Burial will be held in the spring in Mountain View Cemetery
