Rudolph Donald “Don” Jacewicz, 84, of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015.  He was born April 8, 1930, in Claremont, New Hampshire.  Don graduated from Stevens High School in 1948.  Following high school, he attended the University of New Hampshire, where he was of member of the Army ROTC, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in June 1952.  He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954.  He was married to Janet Criger Jacewicz from February 1955 to 1982.  Don had a 27 year career at IBM, where he was employed as a Marketing Representative.  He had a life-long love for history and travel, which he cultivated by living and working abroad in Okinawa, Japan, from 1964 to 1966, and Panama City, Panama from 1969 to 1972.  He is survived by his two children, Benjamin Jacewicz and Julie Jacewicz, and his grandson Gavin Whitman.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30, at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Church, 58 Elm Street in Claremont on Saturday morning February 14th at 11AM.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
