Shirley I. Parkhurst  passed away quietly with her family by her side on Sunday, March 8^th at Valley Regional Hospital.  She was residing at Elm Wood Nursing Home since December after living in Charlestown for over 70 years.

She married Dennis in 1937 and leaves behind her children: Harold and his wife, Tina, Larry and his fiancé’, Joan Kuncik; Linda and her husband, Steve Witham and Gary and his fiance’, Shelley Bennett.  She had 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her brother, Cedric Utton and Helen, his wife.   She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis, who died in 1991 and her daughter, Marjorie, who died in 1964 and her daughter-in-law, Miralyn, in 2010.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service per her request.
