Chauncey "Chick" Robert Rabtoy, 82, of 72 Cold Pond Road in Charlestown, NH, died Wednesday morning, June 15, 2005 at the Valley Regional Hospital in
Claremont.  He was born in Shrewsbury, VT on Aug. 7, 1922 the son of Frances
and Nina (Balch) Rabtoy and has resided in Unity since 1967.

He worked as a mechanic for the Reed Bros. (Ira & Elroy)  for 12 years and
also for R.N. Johnson's for 10 years.  He was also self-employed as a water
well driller.   He loved hunting and fishing especially going after the big
black bear.

Mr. Rabtoy was a life member of the Crescent Lake Regional Snowmobile Club
and a member of the Tri Town Trail Blazers.

His surviving family includes his wife, Agnes Lorraine (Sheehan) Rabtoy of
Unity whom he married Aug. 10, 1942;  one daughter, Lorraine Taylor and her
husband, James of E. Wallingford, VT;  one son, Chauncey Daniel Rabtoy and
his wife, Barbara of Claremont; eight grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren;  two brothers, Calvin Rabtoy of East Clarendon, VT and
Roy Stanley Rabtoy of Perkinsville, VT; one sister, Joan Pratt of Castleton,
VT and nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by one son,
Thomas Leo Rabtoy in 1997, one sister, Gertrude Spaulding, two brothers,
Francis Rabtoy and Leonard Rabtoy.

A time of fellowship and sharing will be held Saturday morning, June 18th
from ten to eleven o'clock at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in
Claremont.

Interment will be at One O'clock in the East Clarendon Cemetery in East
Clarendon, VT.
