Graveside committal services for Keith Clark LaFountain, 67, of 243 Broad
Street, Claremont, who died January 26, 2005 at the Veteran Administration
Hospital in White River Junction, VT, will be held Saturday, July 23, 2005 at ten A.M. in Mt View Cemetery with Rev. David Crosby, Pastor of the First Baptist
Church, Officiating.

He had resided in Newport most of his life, attended Newport Schools and
served in the US Army.

Mr. LaFountain worked for ten years at the Joy Foundry in Claremont and then
took some correspondence classes in general contracting to become self
employed in masonry and carpentry.  He owned a furniture store, a Gulf gas
station and a taxi business and also had several apartment houses all in
Newport.  He considered himself a jack of all trades and master of none and
enjoyed helping others.

The surviving family includes his best friend and loving wife of 36 years,
Pearl "Midge" (Raymond) Filiault LaFountain of Claremont whom he married on
July 6, 1968;  five children, Keith C. "Buddy" LaFountain, Jr. of Enfield,
Dennis Filiault of Newport, Gloria Peck of Claremont, Eileen Schafer of
Zephyrhills, FL, and Lisa Smith of Vershire, VT;  thirteen grandchildren;
sixteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gerald LaFountain and Gary
LaFountain both of Newport and Douglas LaFountain of Claremont also several
nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was pre-deceased by one daughter, Diana P.  Simoneau , one special grandson, Guy Boardman and a brother, Earl
LaFountain.

 He also suggested that in lieu of flowers that you do something nice for
yourself.
