Alfred William Blanchard, Jr., 55, of Denison Ave., in Claremont, died Tuesday afternoon, September 26, 2006 at his home. He was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH, born on May 14, 1951 the son of Alfred W. and Mary (Lawrence) Blanchard. He worked as a janitor at the Sylvania Plant in Hillsboro for fourteen years and later worked as a drill press operator and punch press operator in North Carolina for Groves Metal & Polishing Co. and retired due to disability. He loved hunting and fishing. The surviving family includes his wife, Beverly R. (Williams) Blanchard of Claremont whom he married on July 9, 1988; two daughters, Billie-Jo Squiers and her husband, Dale of Springfield, VT and Nora Jean Blanchard of Newport; four step-daughters, Susan Crousier and Carol Cadran both of Greenfield, MA, Becky Brooks of Wentworth and Nancy Bonneau of Hinsdale; one step-son, Thomas Maratea of St Petersburg, FL; twelve grandchildren; one brother, Albert Blanchard of Claremont; one sister, Mary Ann Fifield of Hollywood, FL and nieces, nephews and cousins. Also two aunts, Margaret M. Lawrence Dube of Hampstead, NH and Phyllis C. Lawrence Robinson of Windsor, VT. A Memorial service will be held Saturday morning, September 30th at Ten O'clock at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont.. Interment will follow in Ascutney Cemetery in Weathersfield, VT. |
