Alice May Chase, 99, formerly of the Old Claremont Road in Charlestown, died
Wednesday evening, October 19, 2005 at the Haven Health Center in Claremont.  She was born in Weathersfield, VT on September 3, 1906 the daughter of Herman E. and Nellie (Randall) Gerber and had resided in Charlestown most of her life.

She was the widow of Harold E. "Ted" Chase whom she married on November 4, 1923 and he died October 8, 1981.

The surviving family includes one son, Kenneth H. Chase and his wife, Helen
of Charlestown; three daughters, Ann E. Patterson and her husband, Robert of
Charlestown, Marion C. Rhoades and her husband, Earl of Salem, OR and Lois
I. Nelson and her husband, John of Roanoke, VA; a son-in-law, Mickey Bascom
of Charlestown; a sister, Edith Johnson and her husband, Ralph of
Brownsville, VT; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, 15
great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Beverly Ruth Bascom, granddaughters,
Keyna Williams and Margo Swortzel, two great grandchildren, Justin Michael
Heath and McKuy Chase, a brother, Alfred Pinson and sisters, Ruth Farrington
and Grace Tallman.

Graveside committal services will be held Saturday, October 22nd at 2 PM in
Hope Hill Cemetery, North Charlestown with Rev. Margaret Long, Pastor of the
North Charlestown Methodist Church officiating.

The family request that donations may be made in her memory to the charity
of one's choice.
