Anah L. Szklennik, 89, of the Old Claremont Road in Charlestown, NH, died
Saturday evening, May 20, 2006 at the DeCamp Morning Glory Manor in Bellows
Falls, VT.

She was born in Sunapee, NH on September 14, 1916 the daughter of Alvah
Thompson and Helen Gladys (Howe) Young and had resided in Charlestown most
of her life.

Anah graduated from  Sunapee High School in 1935 and continued her studies
at Bryant Stratton Business College in Boston, MA.  Thereafter, she worked
for Boston College Practical Arts and Letters and in 1940 she became
employed by Sullivan Machine Company in Claremont.

She was the widow of Chester A. Szklennik whom she married 62 years ago in
Newport and he died February 27, 1997.

Anah was a member of the Rebecca's, the South Parish Unitarian Church and
also served on the Charlestown Planning Board during the late 1990's.

The surviving family includes three sons, Leland A. Szklennik and his wife,
Patricia of Virginia,  W. Bruce Szklennik of California and Martin A.
Szklennik and his wife Theresa  of South Carolina; seven grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Waldo Young of Franklin and a sister,
Beulah Ludlow of West Palm Beach, FL.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday afternoon, May  25th at One O'clock
in the South Parish Unitarian Church in Charlestown with Rev. Arthur
Reublinger, officiating.

Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
