Bernard "Bernie" F. Cummings, Jr., 67, of Prospect Street in Claremont died
Thursday afternoon, August 30, 2007 at his home, surrounded by his family
and loved ones.
He was born in Waterford, ME on June 25, 1940 the son of Bernard F. and
Vivian (Potter) Cummings. He resided in Claremont for the past twenty-nine
years and previously lived in Enfield.
He worked in construction as a concrete foreman and was a self-employed
auctioneer at the Cummings Yellow Barn in Enfield.
The surviving family includes his wife, Maryann (Vashaw) Cummings of
Claremont whom he married on April 18, 1978; three sons, David Cummings,
Todd Cummings and Richard Cummings all of Claremont; five grandchildren,
Steven, Ryan, Hailey, Dylan and Cameron Cummings all of Claremont and his
father, Bernard F. Cummings, Sr. of Enfield.
Bernie was predeceased by his mother Vivian Cummings, a brother Robert F.
Cummings and one son, Robert Fred Cummings.
Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont
on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, Sept. 5th
at Eleven O'clock in St Mary's Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien,
Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Cemetery in
Enfield.
Bernie had a love for yard sales and a quick eye for antiques.
He will be missed by all.
