Cecil Arthur LaClair, of Jonesville Road in Cornish, died Saturday morning,
September 15, 2007 at the Haven Health Center of Claremont.

He was born in Meriden, NH on March 14, 1936 the son of Arthur and Esther
(West) LaClair and resided in Cornish most of his life.

He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1956 and was a truck driver and
laborer most of his life.  He set-up and serviced mobile homes in California
for fourteen years.  Worked for Pike Industries, State of New Hampshire and
retired from the Town of Cornish in 1998.

He was in charge of the horse and ox pull at the Cornish Fair for four
years.  He loved being with his family and friends and enjoyed hunting and
fishing.

The family includes his wife, Joyce (Chamberlain) LaClair of Cornish whom he
married in 1959; four sons, Kenneth A. LaClair and Stewart A. LaClair both
of Claremont, Daniel C. LaClair of South Pines, NC and Douglas R. LaClair of
Enfield; four daughters, Matilda Stacey of Milton, VT, Marinda Patterson of
Claremont, Margaret Jones of Cornish, Cheryl Golembiowski of Punxsutawney,
PA; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Cutts of
Wallingford, CT; two sisters, Bette Stockwell of Meriden and Roxanna Dube of
Claremont, several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by one brother, Stanley Cutts and two sisters, Jessie
Westgate and Louise Durgin.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont
on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM. 

Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon,
September 18th  at Twelve Noon, with Pastors Kenneth LaClair and Christopher
Golembiowski, son and son-in-law co-officiating.

Interment will be in Child Cemetery in Cornish at a later date.
