Charles Arthur McLaughlin, 87, of Andover, MA, a longtime resident of
Hartford St., Claremont, passed away November 28, 2007 at Lawrence General
Hospital after a brief illness.
He was native and nearly life long resident of Claremont, NH born on March
20, 1920 the son of Edward Thomas and Laurina Regina (Bonneau) McLaughlin.
He was a graduate of St. Mary High School and a veteran of WWII having
served in the US Army.
Charles was employed as a telephone installer for 37 years at New England
Telephone Co. retiring in 1982.
He was married to the late Lucille (Fortune) McLaughlin for 55 happy years.
The surviving family includes a son, Thomas Arthur McLaughlin of Andover,
MA; a daughter Susan Jean McLaughlin of Laconia, NH and two grandsons. He
leaves many other relatives and friends throughout New Hampshire. He was
predeceased by a sister, Stella Rogers who died Dec. 9, 2005.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday afternoon, December
1st at 1:30 PM at St. Mary's Church in Claremont with Rev. Father Shawn M.
Therrien, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St. on Saturday
afternoon from 12:15 to 1:15 prior to the Mass.
