Daniel Anthony Murray, 65, of Glenwood Drive, Claremont, NH died Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Brigham & Women's Hospital/Dana-Farber in Boston, MA. He was born in Lewiston, ME on March 31, 1940, the son of John and Eva (Lachance) Murray. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School, received an accounting degree from Bentley College and a BS degree from New Hampshire College. He retired in 2002 from Hancor, Inc., Springfield, VT where he worked in materials management and also worked at MASKA, USA (CCM) and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Corp. in Windsor, VT for many years as an accountant. Daniel was active as a Claremont youth hockey coach for over fifteen years. He recently enjoyed gardening and volunteering at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and participated in lung cancer research studies. The light of his life were his nine grandchildren. Members of his surviving family include his wife Constance (Vincent) Murray of Claremont whom he married August 3, 1963; daughter Lynn Marie and her husband Andrew Pandiani and their children Andrew Daniel, Kelsey Dawn and Zachary John of Old Saybrook CT; son John Albert Murray and his wife Sandra and their children Daniel Robert, Ellen Elizabeth and Michael Joseph of Sandwich, MA; daughter Julie Claire and her husband Shawn Pierce and their children Shannon Theresa, Kaci Lynn and Reagan Michael of Niantic, CT; three sisters, Eva Ladouceur of Lewiston, ME, Jackie Young of Lewiston, ID and Carol and her husband Roy Christiansen of Ware, MA; two brothers, Joseph Murray and his wife Frances of Lewiston ME and Michael Murray and his wife Roby of Titusville, FL; a brother-in-law, R. Joseph Isabel of Lithia, FL and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother John Murray and two sisters Patricia Picard and Theresa Isabel. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St., Claremont NH on Thursday, October 6th from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Main St., Lewiston, ME on Saturday morning at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Peter's & Paul Cemetery, Lewiston, ME. The Albert & Burpee Funeral Home are handling arrangements in Lewiston, ME.
