David Roland Boardman, 65, of Mulberry Street in Claremont, died Monday
evening, November 12, 2007 at his home after a long illness.

He was born in Claremont, NH on May 18, 1942 the son of George A. and Verna
(Packard) Boardman. He resided in Claremont nearly all his life and in
Charlestown for a short time.  He attended Stevens High School.

He owned and operated Dave's Pool Room on Main Street, managed Mid City
Lanes on Pleasant Street, worked at Davis & Simonds Lumber Co. off
Washington Street, was a foreman at White Metal Rolling & Stamping in N.
Walpole and retired due to his disability from Lover's Lane Market in
Charlestown which he and his wife owned and operated for several years.

He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1201 and the
Lighted Heart Club for the blind, was a member of the Candle Pin and Ten Pin
Bowling Associations.

He loved sports and was a Dallas Cowboy and Red Sox fan, enjoyed fishing,
pool, bowling, dog racing, horse racing and was known as "Handicapper" on
the CB Radio.

The surviving family includes his wife, Margaret M. "Peggy" (Barton)
Boardman whom he married on April 2, 1966; one daughter, Karen L. Young and
one grandson, Alexander D. Young all of Claremont; four brothers, Charles
Boardman of Claremont, Peter Boardman of Cornish, Jon Boardman of
Perkinsville, VT and James Boardman of The Villagers, FL;

three sisters, Georgia Paquette of Claremont, Patricia Brown of Milton, VT
and Linda Callum of Unity; long time best friend, Wendall Howard of Prince
George, VA also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by two brothers, George I. Boardman and Alden G.
Boardman.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont
on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Memorial services will be held Friday morning, November 16th at Eleven
O'clock at the Funeral Home with Scott Kearns, Associate Pastor of the First
Baptist Church in Claremont, officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt View Cemetery.
