Dorothy Eleanor Laushance, 83, of Eric Place in Claremont, NH, died Friday
morning, March 18, 2005 at the Veterans Administration Center in White River
Junction, VT.   She was born in Lebanon, NH on June 12, 1921 the daughter of
Charles Albert and Alice Cordelia (McComb) Ploof, Sr. and had resided in
Claremont most of her life.   Mrs. Laushance was a veteran of World War II
having served in the Women's Army Corps.

She was employed as a clerk for twenty-five years at Bucko's Pharmacy on
Pleasant Street.

The surviving family includes her husband, James Arthur Laushance of
Claremont, whom she married on March 23, 1948;  two step-sons, David
Laushance of Oklahoma and Victor Laushance of Pennsylvania;  two brothers,
Reginald Ploof of Lebanon and Charles Ploof of Claremont;  two sisters,
Philens Boucher of Claremont and Ann Marie Williams of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Christa Cheney and Rena Emmerson.

A memorial service will be held at the Veteran's Administration Center in
White River Junction, VT  in the Chapel on Saturday afternon, March 26th at
One O'clock.   The Stringer Funeral Home and Crematorium, 146 Broad Street
in Claremont is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her
