Dorothy Jane LeClair, 82, of Orchard Road in Claremont, died Saturday,
September 15, 2007 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

She was born in Concord, NH on October 24, 1924 the daughter of Lillian
Wirrell and Milo Lindgren and was raised by her aunt Adelia Jane Wirrell.

She was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1944.

Dorothy retired from the New England Telephone Company in 1985 where she
worked in the Claremont, Concord and Dover offices for thirty-eight years.

 

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, helped with United Way and was a communicant of St Mary's Church.

Dorothy enjoyed her grandchildren's sporting events, music, dancing, gardening and was an avid BINGO player.

She was the widow of Austin Joseph LeClair, Jr. whom she married on June 5, 1948 and he died April 23, 1999.
 

The surviving family includes one son, Michael Joseph LeClair and his wife,
Kim of Hampstead; two daughters, Sandra Jane Davis and her husband, Larry of
Claremont and Linda Jane  Harrington and her husband, Robert of Chanhassen,
Minnesota;  eight grandchildren, Sean LeClair, Meghan Lutz, Jason Knowlton,
Dustin Davis, Lindsay Jane Davis, Whitney Jane Davis, Austin Harrington
and April Jane Harrington; three great-grand-children, Brandon LeClair,
Joshua LeClair and Nadia Lutz; one half brother, Alfred "Freddie" Gagnon of
Middleburg, FL and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, her aunt Adelia Jane Wirrell; brothers,
Charles Ash and Willard "Junior" Ash.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Friday
evening from 6 to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning, September
22nd at Eleven O'clock in St Mary's Church with Rev. Father Albert Dagnoli,
officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt View Cemetery.
